German Red Cross (1936 - 1945)

All standards and pennants show as badge a black eagle with white swastika on his breast and red cross between his white claws, in the cantons of the units are their names as black inscription on silver background, the fringes and marks of rank are olive green greyish.

A readiness unit (German: Bereitschaft) was a civil protection unit and the equivalent of a company in the army, consisting of three platoons (German: Züge), each having 42 helpers (German: Helfer) in case of defence. This structure was kept by (West-) German civil protection forces after WW2.

White rectangular flag with cotised olive grey edges and saltire, over all the badge, height approx. 50 cm. This flag was also used by the DRK Chief Officer (DRK-Amtschef) and the DRK Inspector General (DRK-Inspekteur).
